When sexually transmitted parasitic aliens invade, two combat medics must learn to trust each other and question everything humanity knows about the enemy.

Violation’s Wake Book 1

Evan Wendell has never been reprimanded in his life. Charismatic and accustomed to getting what he wants, he’s sent to a remote reservation to dig a sanitary ditch as punishment. But on the flight there, every passenger dies except Evan and his new partner, Ari Mothword—the man who got them in trouble in the first place.

Ari just wants to leave his past behind, survive the country’s most prestigious military academy, and become a combat medic. But tragedy has a habit of following him.

And this time, it has followed them both.

Initially accused of causing the deaths on the plane, Evan and Ari are thrust deep into the scientific questions at the heart of the war with the rooks. Could the deaths be the start of a new invasion? Or have rooks evolved beyond inhabiting human bodies and seizing control?

Finding the answers will test their trust in each other—and their hard-won friendship—to the limit.
